The French are probably better known for their culinary skills than their pop music. Cocovan is turning all that on its head (see what she did there).
So far, Cocovan has been working independently after major French labels insisted she sing in French. Instead, she has gone her own way, not only singing in English but writing and producing the tracks herself. The result is some sugary electro-pop in line with the likes of Robyn and CHVRCHES, with a visual and fashion style that's all her own.
New track Bang Bang is released next week, but previous single Roosevelt Hotel hit the internet a while back - both tracks feature sparkling pop production and catchy choruses, with a vocal full of girlish charm. An artiste to keep a beady eye on then. Trés bien.
